Can you believe it’s been TEN years already?! Well, ten years and four days to be exact. I never manage to blog on the exact day anymore and this year was no exception, but hey, at least I remembered! I was going to bake something more spectacular since after all, it is my 10th blog birthday. To be completely honest I haven’t baked in months so even making a simple pavlova like this was a bit of a struggle (and it was like, the hottest day so far this summer!).
It’s been good to take a little break from baking and social media. The past 10 years have been so much about work and constantly updating that I needed it. I’m trying to focus on real life right now and doing meaningful work, being a little healthier overall, being present and meeting friends – something I’ve neglected over the past few years. Not only because of work but also because I’m an introvert and I go into hermit mode more often than I’d like. Hehe.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love baking and blogging and goodness, I have learnt and grown so much over these years! I’ll of coursee continue to bake and post recipes here – but I might add some other things too, like my previous post about camera gear. It just feels.. right! After all, photography is a huge part of this blog. And I always want to hear what you guys think, I already got some awesome suggestions in the last post but I’d love to hear more! Let me know in the comments 馃檪

Yes. Keep up the good work. Your photos are wonderful and I enjoyed the post on photography. Can you share your secrets of how you post on Instagram and if you use an editing program? I used to take photos on my Canon Rebel, download them to my Mac, edit and post. But I am finding it too cumbersome. Do you use your phone???? Grazie mille.

Congrats Linda!!! Ten years, four books, I have it all (five counting “My sweet Kitchen”, which I got too). I guess it must be overwhelming, so many pics, and sweets, recipes and knwoledge, and sharing something new all the time… I guess you would need a break! Every time you share a recipe, I run to see your blog, only for reading you. I admire you so much, not only your work, also your sensibility, the true behind your pics, the emotions hiden beneath them. I adore your blog. The photos are beautiful and your writing is uplifting.
Here’s a challenging question: can this recipe be made vegan? Aquafaba can be used in lieu of the egg whites for the meringue and coconut cream can be used in lieu of the cow’s cream.

Photos are amazing. It takes a lot of work to post-process photos. Often even more than making the other content. Good work. Wish the coming 10 years to be even better…

Thank you Niko! You are so right, the post processing and choosing photos is quite time consuming!
