I’ve been so eager to start creating Christmas posts again! I usually never start this late, but I’ve had so much work lately that I simply haven’t had the time. I still have more work to do before I can take some time ‘off’, but I thought I’d at least start!
By no means can I take credit for coming up with this idea, but I wanted to share it because I’ve never made it before and it was so easy and fun! It’s definitely something I’ll do again. I figure if the slices are completely dry, I’ll be able to store the garland in a dry place until next Christmas. Let’s see!
Because of the light these days (and because I’m very impatient), I didn’t run down to the sewing supply shop (which is like 50 meters from my home) to get a yarn needle like one perhaps should have. Instead, I used a skewer (oh, who am I kidding, I used a pen because it was closer to me) to poke holes in the slices and then a toothpick to stitch. It still worked like a charm. Next time, I might just try using clementines!
Last year, I hung a gingerbread cookie garland on my favorite cabinet which you can see in this post! All photos are edited with the preset ‘Aqua’ from my preset collection.

These are always a nice addition to the Christmas decorations! I’m going to use clementines this year because we have so many already.
Have a lovely holiday season!
