The darkness is not kidding around this fall/winter (hello ridiculously high ISO 🙁 ). I honestly don’t mind the darkness per se, it kind of relaxes me. Thus far at least. We’ll see what I have to say about that come February. But, when you’re planning to shoot something, it’s kind of a bummer to see the light fade around noon. I’ve considered getting some sort of studio lights but I don’t know.. Maybe I just have to accept that winter can be a struggle photography wise, but at least I’m feeling very inspired!
This time of year, is actually the only time I really ever make hot beverages. I mean for the exception of coffee, of course. It’s much needed right now, with the cold weather and the darkness. Lit candles every morning and night, and lots of this white chocolate mocha. By far, the coziest way to start the day. Ok, a fireplace wouldn’t hurt either. One day I will have one. Did you take inspiration from Starbucks? White chocolate moka is one of my favourite when I go there, so I think I’ll try your recipe! 🙂
Ps: I love the grey fall/winter light, it’s cozy and “hyggelig”.

Ahh, I didn’t know they made one! I don’t have a Starbucks where I live 🙂 I hope you like it if you decide to give it a try!

Low light is a bummer but you manage to give a mysterious and beautiful dark light to your photos! I love it !
linda says
Thank you Cyrielle! I was able to catch some light at least with high ISO and extremely low aperture.. haha. Thanks so much for your kind comment! 🙂

Work with too low lights must be challenging, but, as ever, you nailed it with this wintery drink… I’ve felt this pics like a little travel to winterfell, in a cozier way 😉 xoxo
linda says
Thank you so much! I had to google winterfell, hehe. I’m one of the very few people who hasn’t watched Game of thrones. Maybe I should?! 😉 xoxo

Hi Linda,
Just one wish on this so cold morning : getting out to buy all ingredients. And the light — my goodness ! –, you’ve succeed to catch the winter light and to make it delicate.

STUNNING. Linda you ALWAYS kill it!! These photos are so perfect and yet incredibly simple still… amazing.
Totally hear you on the hardships of winter light! Had to switch around my whole week yesterday when I ran out of light. The whole day- rainy and dark. Couldn’t even make it work. Thankfully, today was much better 🙂
Hope you enjoy all those cozy mornings and evenings!!
xx
