This guide to Malmö is a paid collaboration with Malmö Town. All opinions are as always, my own.
Perhaps you remember my Malmö guide from last summer? Well, now I am back with a guide to Malmö part two! These are strange times and I realize that not everyone is able to travel right now, but perhaps you can save this guide for future travel? I hope you like my guide, nonetheless <3
Last time, I wasn’t able to include all the places I wanted to visit in my last guide to Malmö, so I definitely wanted to make a part two. And even now, there are places that I wish I had time to go to, like Namu, Kärleksgatan 3. Mastio, Patisserie David, Gustavino, MJs, Lyran, Riket, 400 grader, Spill…. aah, so many amazing places! All the more reason to go back! I am always pleasantly surprised by how many great places there are, especially considering Malmö is not a huge city (around 300 000 inhabitants, although it is Sweden’s third biggest city).
Malmö is just a short train ride away from where I live, so I took the train to Malmö with Skånetrafiken, and I stayed at Hotel Noble House which is located in the city centre, on a calm and quiet street. It was the perfect location and the hotel was super cozy and decorated with second hand furniture. Anyway, let’s get on with the guide!
A Guide to Malmö, part II
Söderberg & Sara
Located in the beautiful S:t Knut area, this little coffee bar has everything you need, pastries, bread, delicious drinks and coffee and some savoury options which all sound fantastic. I had a cinnamon bun and coffee because I was so full from breakfast, but the bun was perfect and the coffee delicious. I’ll definitely go back here next time I’m in Malmö (hopefully less full!) to try more things.

FLAX
I loved this café so much! Located in a calm street close to Folkets park, the menu is vegan and sustainable, with locally sourced ingredients. The café is open Thursday through Saturday, as the owners run Los Perros Urban Farming the rest of the week. I had the grilled cheeze sandwich with a Strawberry cider. So good!

BREWDOG
A great place in the city centre of Malmö to relax, enjoy a cold beer and a burger. I chose one of the vegan burgers with a beyond meat patty, vegan chipotle slaw, vegan cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce & pickles. Delicious and so colourful!

KÖLD
Fantastic ice cream parlour with very interesting flavour combinations. I chose strawberry szechuan and cherry with basil and bitters. Soooo good! I really wanted to try everything!

SALTIMPORTEN CANTEEN
I really wanted to go to this restaurant the last time I was in Malmö but it’s only open two hours a day, for lunch, so I kept missing their opening hours. This time I made it there in time, and I’m so glad I did! I can’t remember exactly what we had but it had lots of browned butter and it was delicious. They were also very accomodating to make the vegetarian option vegan for my vegan friends.

BASTARD
I must say I was a little intimidated to go to this restaurant, I thought they were an only meat-restaurant but I am happy to say I was wrong! We ordered three small dishes because we were already quite full, and I loved them all – I especially loved the burrata with wood roasted cherries, lavender & fennel pollen. The restaurant is very cozy with a beautiful outdoor patio.

Florera
A beautiful flower shop next to S:t Knut’s square. A must visit if you’re in the area! Perhaps after a fika at Söderberg & Sara or before dinner at Mineral, which was in last year’s guide to Malmö!

Djäkne Kaffebar
Djäkne Kaffebar is the perfect place to get some work done. Besides great coffee (they have a new coffee every week!), they have free wi-fi and lots of outlets to charge your devices.

Bara Blommor
A beautiful flower shop located in the city centre of Malmö with lots of beautiful flowers, plants, prints, scented candles and other bits and bobs.

Jord
After eating a lot of sandwiches and croissants (don’t get me wrong, I LOVE both) these days I was craving something else so we decided to go to Jord for breakfast. I had millet porridge with rhubarb compote, toasted almonds and cardamom yogurt and my brother had oatmeal with raspberries, peanutbutter, coconut and cacao nibs. So good and exactly what I was craving. Everything on their menu is vegan, too!

The Kitchen Lab
If you’re in need of anything for the kitchen, this is the place for you! I loooove kitchen shops and this one drives me a little crazy, I want to buy everything when all I really need is some new piping nozzles 🙂

Plantmagic’s Kitchen
Right across the street from The Kitchen Lab is Plantmagic’s Kitchen. It is indeed, magic. I absolutely loved this place and can highly recommend it!

Fika from Bageri Leve | Pildammsparken
I had to go back to the fantastic Leve bakery and try their doughnuts. We chose four different ones and went for a stroll through Pildammsparken, or more precisely Queen Silvia’s Rose Garden. Some roses were still in bloom, and so were the dahlia’s! My favorite doughnut was the lavender (with lemon too, I think!).

Farm 2 Table
All plant based and super cozy café in the beautiful Davidshall area. We sat on their patio and I just wanted to stay there for the rest of the day!

A sweet little vintage shop right next to Davidshalls square. So many cool details to look at, and the owner was lovely too!
