This guide to Malmö is a paid collaboration with Malmö Town. All opinions are as always, my own.
I’m so excited to be back in Malmö to make another guide with my favourite spots! Over the last few years, Malmö has become like my home away from home. With each visit, I find new places to explore, making it the perfect time to add some of these to my list of favourites.
If you’re interested in checking out my past Malmö guides, you can find them all here (note that some locations have since closed)
Malmö guide Part III, Malmö guide Part II, Malmö guide Part I

Malmö is located on the very south west coast of Sweden, just a short train ride from Copenhagen. It has all the advantages of a big city, including amazing restaurants, shops and activities yet it’s small enough to be completely walkable. it’s easy enough to get around by foot or bike. I recommend downloading Skånetrafiken’s app, which you can use on buses and trains, not just in Malmö but throughout Skåne.
Here are some spots you can’t miss!

Gaji
I was so excited when I heard about this cocktail bar, and it absolutely lived up to my high expectations. Great location, creative menu and distinctive Korean-inspired flavors (and also, clear ice!). With its fantastic cocktails, minimalistic yet inviting atmosphere, this place is a gem!

St Jakobs Stenugnsbageri
I have mentioned St Jakob’s before as they have several locations in Malmö, but I have never been to this particular spot before – right next to the main train station. Perfect spot for a fika, and I especially recommend their cinnamon and cardamom buns!

Enoclub Osteria
Charming Italian restaurant close to the small square (Lilla torg) in Malmö. I had pasta for lunch and it was exactly what I wanted, delicious! Beautiful, cozy interiors and super friendly staff – I’ll definitely be back here next time around.

Babusia
Right next door to Malmö Saluhall is a new restaurant, namely Sweden’s first Ukrainian restaurant! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – we ordered from the breakfast menu and I had the syrnyky with smetana, raspberry compote, fresh berries and honey. Delicious and surprisingly filling!

Artisan
A very cozy new coffee and vermouth bar, located just next to Möllevångstorget. When I got here I was so full already after having visited two places just before – but I’m already looking forward to go back for a glass of vermouth, which is my absolute favourite!

FIR
Right across the street from another favourite that I featured in Part II of my Malmö guides, Flax, is a new spot called FIR. Seasonal small dishes (think tapas!) with homegrown veggies from Los Perros Urban Farming, natural wine, local brews and a relaxed vibe. They even have a brewery in their basement! I absolutely loved this place and could stick around here for much longer.

Farina
Fantastic bakery inspired by French and Italian bakery culture. I had a maritozzo, a light and fluffy bun filled with orange jam and mascarpone aperol cream. They change the flavours according to season. Texture wise, It reminded me a little bit of a Swedish semla! Absolutely delicious, this is one of my favourite bakeries in Malmö.

Malmö Inre & Yttre fyr (Malmö inner & outer lighthouse)
I was surprised when I saw these lighthouses on instagram, how come I’ve never seen them during any of my visits? I especially enjoyed the outer lighthouse because of it’s beautiful location, it’s a nice walk from the city centre (make sure to bring warm clothes on a cold day though, Malmö can be quite windy).

Malmö yttre fyr

Malmö inre fyr
Malmö Stadsbibliotek (Malmö city library)
If not for the books, it’s worth a visit for the beautiful architecture!
Address: Kung Oscars väg 11, 211 42 Malmö

Go for a stroll in Kungsparken/Slottsträdgården
I’ve mentioned this before but I make sure to go for a little stroll here whenever I visit, it’s such a beautiful park. There’s a community flower garden, a café and a windmill too!

Fiskehoddorna, close to the park. Here you can buy freshly caught fish and seafood.

I never miss my chance to stop by Leve Bakery for a fika, pictured is their morning bun and a chocolate donut with hazelnut filling

Cozy street right outside of Artisan, next to Möllevångstorget
And that’s it for now! This is just a small portion of what Malmö has to offer, so make sure to check out my previous guides as well:
